Case Study
Property Management
Our client was starting a new property managment business located in Palos Verdes California, and all she had at the start was the name, Peninsula View. So she needed our help to create a logo and branding to come out of gate strong against the already established competition in the area.
She wanted to make sure the new branding was inspired both the natural beauty of the Palos Verdes Peninsula and her love for high-end design. It needed to look high-end, tech savvy and use bold greens to pay homage to the area. So we at Crastinum Creative got busy researching and learning more about the property management industry and the area around where it will be located...
Mood Boards
We then started designing 2 distinct Mood Boards to help capture the potential new direction and help visually identify Peninsula View going forward.
The mood board with the checkmark was then chosen, as it was felt it encompassed both the high-end, area inspired, bold new direction she had envisioned.
What is a mood board? It is a collection of visual assets that can include colors, images, text, logos, photos, or any other visual inspiration to aide in the visual development of a new brand.
Logo Design Stage
Now that we had our chosen Mood Board, we started the work on designing the logo. Below are the 4 black & white logos we designed and the chosen logo that inspired the final direction is on the upper left.
Mood Boards
We then took the chosen logo above and refined it even further infusing the approved colors from the chosen mood board.
We also added some cleaner tech-looking elements and explored a few different fonts.
Client chose the 4th option and we then refined it further until final approval.
Last step was to begin building the final brand toolkit.
The Final Brand Toolkit
For Peninsula View, we then completed and delivered the full brand toolkit seen here.
Included in the toolkit below are social media icons, avatars, logo usage rules, color palette, stationary mock-ups, font usage, and more.
We then utilized the toolkit elements to design a business cards for the client. (see vertical card design below)
With your finalized brand toolkit, the usage possibilities are truly endless!
